De handgemaakte pastels van J. Luda Colors zijn fluweelzacht en hebben intense kleuren. 

Ze zijn rechthoekig, waardoor je gemakkellijk met de platte kant een vlak op papier kunt zetten. De scherpe kanten gebruik je voor fijne details.

Na jarenlang experimenteren heeft J. Luda Colors zijn handgemaakte zachte pastelkrijt ontwikkeld op basis van 16e-eeuwse technieken, waarbij gebruik wordt gemaakt van moderne, synthetische pigmenten (GEEN cadmium of zware metalen) en de nadruk ligt op het gebruik van milieuvriendelijke mengsels. Elke pastel wordt met de hand vervaardigd volgens een strikt meerstappenproces, waardoor de productie zeer tijdrovend is. 
Deze kwaliteit en fijnheid kan alleen worden bereikt door handmatig te werken. Door de zachtheid en de minimale hoeveelheid bindmiddelen hebben  de kleuren een gegarandeerde consistentie en een gelijkmatige verdeling door de helle pastel.

Kleurcodering: Het J. Luda Handmade Soft Pastel Color System bevat 35 kleuren, genummerd van 1 tot 35. Elke kleur heeft 21 tinten die met letters zijn aangeduid.

• L is de pure kleur.
• A tot en met F zijn 5 grijstinten van L.
• G tot en met L zijn 5 tinten wit ten opzichte van L (waarbij G de lichtste is).
• M tot en met V zijn 9 donkere kleurtinten

The handmade soft pastel sticks of J. Luda Colors are extra fine, with the softness of velvet, have intense colours, all of which are the result of the traditional production techniques.

Following many years of experimenting, J. Luda Colors created its handmade soft pastels based on the 16th century techniques, while using modern, synthetic pigments (NO cadmiums or heavy metals) and focusing on the use of environmentally friendly compounds. Each stick is handmade based on a strict multi-step process, which makes the production very time-consuming. Compounds are blended by a mixer until a perfectly homogeneous consistency is reached. 

It is only possible to achieve this quality and fineness by working manually. Due to the softness, and the minimal amount of binders, your colours have a guaranteed consistency and uniform distribution throughout the stick.

Colourcodes: The J. Luda Handmade Soft Pastel Colour System contains 35 colours, coded with numbers from 1 to 35. Each colour has 21 shades coded with letters.

• L is the pure colour.
• A to F are 5 grey graduations of L.
• G to L are 5 grades of white to L (G being the lightest).
• M to V 9 dark shades of colour
