Prismacolor premier kleurpotloden zijn superzachte potloden met een dikke stift.

Al  sinds het begin van everycolor in 2016 importeren we deze kleurpotloden uit de Verenigde Staten, vooral vanwege hun zachtheid, maar ook vanwege het heel eigen kleurengamma.

Prismacolor zijn de opvolgers van de niet meer verkrijgbare Karisma kleurpotloden. Hoewel het uiterlijk heel anders is zijn ze net zo zacht en hebben ze grotendeels dezelfde kleurnummers en -namen. 

Prismacolor premier zijn kleurpotloden van kunstenaarskwaliteit met veel pigment voor levendige en duurzame kleuren. Door hun zachtheid geven ze veel kleur af en kun je moeiteloos blenden. 

Bij deze kleurpotloden raden we een tafelpuntenslijper met frees aan, zoals de Dahle 133 en 155, of die van M+R en Caran D'Ache.

The Karisma coloured pencils were made by the manufacturer Berol until 2005. After that, production stopped and that is regretted by many to date. They are now legendary and are called the Rolls Royce of pencils, but that is mainly by sellers, who know that they have a rare product in their hands and want to win the top prize for it.

The license of the Karisma's has been taken over by the American Sanford and the pencils are now called Prismacolor. The colors in the range are largely the same, including the names and numbers. The pigments used are also said to be the same.

They do look different, though, with a coloured exterior and without the distinctive angled back.

Before we ship loose pencils, they are always checked by us. We don't do that with sets, because then we have to break the plastic seal. But if there is a wrong pencil, it will always be replaced by us.

They are soft, and therefore perhaps more fragile than other pencils. I personally never suffer from it, not even in the children's groups I teach. And a good pencil sharpener is also vital for your pencils. A Dahle 133 is a table-top pencil sharpener in which the pencil clamps and turns the crank. This prevents you from twisting the pencil when sharpening, which can break the core. In addition, the Dahle scrapes the wood instead of sharpening with a knife. This makes it much more economical and you can use your pencils for much longer.
