Workshops botanisch tekenen door Eline de Jong  

Eline de Jong weet alles van het tekenen en kleuren met kleurpotlood. 

Botanisch tekenen richt zich op het zo realistisch mogelijke weergeven van planten en bloemen. 

In deze workshops krijg alle informatie over tekenen in het algemeen, de ins en outs van botanisch tekenen en maak je uiteindelijk een realistische tekening in kleurpotlood. Na de introductie kun je je onderwerp kiezen uit een ruim aanbod van plantaardig materiaal. Daarvan maak je een schets  om het onderwerp te bestuderen en de grondvormen vast te leggen. Je krijgt hier uiteraard begeleiding bij, en met een slimme onderwerpkeuze kun je het jezelf moeilijker of makkelijker maken. Daardoor is de workshop geschikt voor zowel beginners als gevorderden.

De schets neem je over op Hotpressed aquarelpapier en daarna ga je met kleur de vormen, liijnen, schaduwen en hoge lichten van je onderwerp tot leven brengen. Hierbij kun je alle kleurpotloden gebruiken die in het atelier en de webshop aanwezig zijn,

De workshops duren van 10 tot 16 uur.
De prijs is € 75 per workshop, inclusief materiaalgebruik, koffie, thee en uitgebreide lunch. Ook inbegrepen is een hand-out met voorbeelden zodat je thuis verder kunt tekenen.

De workshop dient vooruit betaald te worden.

Let op! : Als de betaling van de workshop gecombineerd wordt met een bestelling van artikelen, telt de prijs van de workshop niet mee voor het verzendkostenvrije bedrag. We adviseren je de workshop los van fysieke artikelen te bestellen. 

Bij afmelding binnen 14 dagen voor aanvang van de workshop wordt 50% van het cursusgeld terugbetaald, m.u.v. hele acute situaties.

Er is per workshop plaats voor 4-8 deelnemers.

zaterdag 26 september: tekenen op grijs papier

Het werken op grijs papier geeft hierbij nieuwe mogelijkheden: lichte delen komen als vanzelf naar voren en diepe kleuren worden dieper. De workshop is geschikt voor zowel beginners als gevorderden: je kunt het zo eenvoudig of complex maken als je zelf wil.

zaterdag 21 november: botanisch tekenen in kerstsfeer

In deze workshop teken je onderwerpen die gebruikt kunnen worden voor een kerstkaart. Als je daarbij concentreert op iets kleins, zoals een takje met bessen, kun je dat door herhalen, spiegelen en draaien tot een mooi patroon maken. Maar niets is verplicht, je kunt je eigen onderwerp kiezen. Je leert tijdens deze workshop alle ins en outs van het werken met kleurpotlood en maakt een verfijnde, realistische tekening. 

zaterdag 23 januari 2027: wintergroenten

Bij wintergroenten kun je denken aan koolbladeren met mooie dikke nerven. Maar ook bietjes, bloemkool en prei zijn fantastisch om te tekenen.  Eline leert het je allemaal in deze workshop. Alles komt aan bod, van de eerste opzet van je tekening tot en met het werken met kleurpotlood. Het resultaat is een verfijnde, realistische tekening

Deze workshops zijn geschikt voor beginners en gevorderden: je kiest zelf het onderwerp en daarmee de mate van complexiteit. 

In de workshops wordt uitsluitend met topkwaliteit materialen gewerkt. Na afloop van de workshop kun je uiteraard  materialen kopen zodat je zelf verder kunt werken in de aangeboden techniek.

Botanical drawing workshops by Eline de Jong 

Eline de Jong knows everything there is to know about drawing and colouring with coloured pencils. 

Botanical drawing focuses on depicting plants and flowers as realistically as possible. 

In these workshops, you will learn everything there is to know about drawing in general and the ins and outs of botanical drawing, and you will ultimately create a realistic drawing in coloured pencil. After the introduction, you can choose your subject from a wide range of plant material. You will make a sketch of it to study the subject and capture the basic shapes. You will, of course, receive guidance in this, and with a smart choice of subject, you can make it more difficult or easier for yourself. 

You will transfer the sketch onto hot-pressed watercolour paper and then use colour to bring the shapes, lines, shadows and highlights of your subject to life. You can use all the coloured pencils available in the studio and the webshop.

The workshops last from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The price is £75 per workshop, including materials, coffee, tea and a generous lunch. Also included is a handout with examples so you can continue drawing at home.

The workshop must be paid for in advance. If the payment for the workshop is combined with an order for items, the price of the workshop does not count towards the shipping costs. 

If you cancel within 14 days before the start of the workshop, 50% of the course fee will be refunded, except in very urgent situations.

Each workshop has space for 4-8 participants.

Saturday 26 September: drawing on grey paper

Working on grey paper opens up new possibilities: light areas stand out naturally and deep colours become even deeper. The workshop is suitable for both beginners and more experienced artists: you can make it as simple or as complex as you like.

Saturday 21 November: botanical drawing with a Christmas theme

In this workshop, you’ll draw subjects that can be used for a Christmas card. If you focus on something small, such as a twig with berries, you can turn it into a beautiful pattern by repeating, mirroring and rotating it. But nothing is compulsory; you can choose your own subject. During this workshop, you’ll learn all the ins and outs of working with coloured pencils and create a refined, realistic drawing. 

Saturday 23 January 2027: winter vegetables

When it comes to winter vegetables, think of cabbage leaves with lovely thick veins. But beetroot, cauliflower and leeks are also fantastic subjects to draw. Eline will teach you everything in this workshop. We’ll cover everything, from the initial sketch of your drawing right through to working with coloured pencils. The result will be a refined, realistic drawing

These workshops are suitable for beginners and advanced students: you choose the subject yourself and thus the degree of complexity. 

Only top-quality materials are used in the workshops. After the workshop, you can of course  purchase materials so that you can continue working with the technique you have learned.
